Newbie - Assets/Templates/Reviewers

1. How to update/create asset libraries ? can it be done from within
Contribute or do users need direct FTP access? Basically, if they have
an established media library ("shared assets" in Contribute, under the
"add image" menu) and a user wants to add some pictures to the library
(with admin permission), how would they do that?

2. Is there a way to constrain the list of reviewers? Right now,
clicking "send for review" pops up a large list of users as options.
it's confusing for the users to have to wade through a large list. How
do they narrow that list so it's only a few desired admins as options?

3. Can templates be modified through Contribute? A couple "power users"
will need the ability to tweak some template items on occasion. Can this
be enabled/done through the Contribute interface, or do they need
another tool (Dreamweaver)? I would guess not...!

4. Do all parent and grandparent templates need to be "available" (as
part of the Contribute access key options) for users to create new pages
from nested templates?

1)If I understood you can with admin rights add assests by selecting any role
and shared assets, so long as the check box "Use this list for all roles" is
checked it will go across all your roles.

2) I raised this yonks ago with CT3 came out, and no replies came. So let it
just be said that any writer can select any other writer role, publisher role
and admin iirc.

3) No, Templates can not be maintained with CT (that would be silly imho), but
yes you can use DW or you can create some using notepad (copying an old
template and modding it is easiest).

4) I think only the relative templates need to be available for a user to...
use. not really experimeted with nested templates, but would guess this.
