newbie external cast question - Macromedia Director Basics

Hello, I've decided to use an external cast to keep banner graphics in my program separate from the other graphics. I see in the doentation that the graphics must be in the same 'relative' path at runtime as when the graphic is imported....However, when I look at the member properties I see that the entire logical path is listed.... as well, at runtime, I get an error asking me to browse to the correct location for the needed graphic. I'm sure I must be missing a simple step in creation of these external casts.... anyone have some ideas? Thank you, ...

    Hello,

Sounds like you are dealing with external linked cast members (and not
    castlib files?)

When the volume name in the file path, like when moved to a CD, it can
loose track of the path to linked resources remote from the projector
    file.

Linked resources are most reliabably found If you place external files
in same folder as the projector or director file.

One can add to the searchPathList property paths to folders where
resources are located, this may have to be set in a seperate director
file before jumping to the file with linked members.
