    Default Newbie help, automatic email on a submit form

    I have just created a form to email user information using
    <form action="MAILTO:smashy41@tiscali.co.uk" method="post"
    enctype="text/plain"

    When I press the submit button, it opens up my email and a new message appears
    with the form data in.

    Can I automate this process so that it just sends the email without the user
    having to do anything???

    Sorry about the stupid question, but I'm a newbie ;o)

    Nope. The simplicity of the mailto: link extracts this penalty. You could
    automate the process using server scripting of some sort, however, that
    would require that you change the form not to use the mailto: link. Ask
    your host what they provide for form processing - maybe they can help.
