Newbie in over her head
Hi all,
I am a small business owner that bought a flash template online thinking I
could customize it and launch it all on my own. I bought Adobe Flash cs3
thinking that it would make my life so much easier, but it didnt, as I know
nothing about flash.
So now I am sitting here, with what I believe to be a butchered up template
that I spent a disgusting amount of hours on, and now I dont even know how to
load it to my website. I had to remove the contact us form, as I couldnt get it
to work.
I feel embarrassed that I thought I could do this, but now I have put too much
time in it to walk away. Not to mention the expense of the flash program.
If anyone is willing to look at it, I would be very appreciative. More
importantly though, I would like to learn through this, as I am very interested
in being self-sufficient.
Thanks

Hello kcwegner, welcome to Flash and the forums.
What problem, in particular, are you having?

Re: Newbie in over her head
Hi Amy, and thank you for your reply. I managed to get the files uploaded but
now the site appears too small, but slowly working its way over to centre,
which is where I want it. Ah yes, and my links dont seem to always work.
I do not have Dreamweaver, just Flash CS3 and Photoshop CS3.

Re: Newbie in over her head
I'm afraid we'll need more information to help you out. Can you post a URL to
the site or upload some code or something? I don't understand what you mean by
it being too small and working it's way to the center. Please be more specific.
Thanks!

Re: Newbie in over her head
Hi kcwegner
Dont stress too much, Flash isnt all that hard to understand. Although, from
reading your first post..
"So now I am sitting here, with what I believe to be a butchered up template"
I sure hope you have back up copies of the template. =)
Also, about the contact form, that form was most likely working...the catch
is...that Flash forms ONLY work on a server (online) they dont work locally (on
your comouter...even if you are connected to the net)
So dont throw it out just yet.
Amy, is right.
We are going to need more specific details about your problems if we are going
to have any chance to help you.
By the way, Welcome to Flash =)
