Newbie Javascript issue - Coldfusion - Getting Started

I have a situation where rather than send an ID variable across as a url I'm trying to send it over as a form variable. (I know - that is probably unusual.) In any event when I click the edit link, the page throws a javascript error. Can anyone look at the following code and tell me where I might be going wrong. Thank you very much. <form action="#Request.self#" method="POST" enablecab="No" name="CareerActionPlanLink"> <td align="center"> <input type="Hidden" name="careerActionPlanID" value="#careerActionPlanID#"> <input type="Hidden" name="fuseaction" value="editCareerActionPlan"> <a href="javascript :doent.CareerActionPlanLink.sub mit();">Edit</a> </td> </form> The js error says words to the effect of: "Object doesn't support ...

    I assume that you want the form to submit to itself ?

    <form action="#SCRIPT_NAME#" method="POST" enablecab="No"
    name="CareerActionPlanLink">

    <td align="center">
    <input type="Hidden" name="careerActionPlanID" value="#careerActionPlanID#">
    <input type="Hidden" name="fuseaction" value="editCareerActionPlan">
    <a href="void(0)" onclick="this.form.submit();">Edit</a>
    </td>
    </form>

    No, sorry for not making that clear. I'm using fusebox 2.0 methodology so I
    want the form to submit to the index.cfm file and the hidden variable,
    fuseaction, will tell it what to do. Thank you very much.

    Okay, I don't use fuse action so I assume #Request.self# is the fuse action
    page and all you want to do it submit the form. Then the code I supplied does
    that

    <a href="void(0)" onclick="this.form.submit();">Edit</a>

    This link will submit the form
