Re: Newbie needs help with Text Wrap in Ill CS
Running OS X, ILL CS. Trying to wrap text around jpg. Altough I can see Text Wrap is applied to jpg, text still remains underneath the picture. Any suggestions?

The only way I can reproduce what is happening to you is to outline the text.

Re: Newbie needs help with Text Wrap in Ill CS
Thanks for the suggestion but I did not outline the text. I have the Adobe CIB for AI CS and consulted the Help menu. Both explain exactly what to do. I do noticed though that in the AI CIB book they use a text container in the example - would that make all the difference? I just started typing and then tried to wrap text around a .jpg, then .psd, and then .ai object. In all cases, the text wrap context menu appears (no warning of the layer having to be in the same group, I figured that out) but text doesn't wrap. The .jpg actually showed the text wrap outline but the text would still remain underneath. FYI: I have a top layer called Layer 1, in it I have an image sublayer above a text sublayer.
