Newbie Question: Biz Card Template Question
Hi, I got the Pagemaker PlugIn - I am using one of the templates for Business Cards - the elements appear to be grouped (bound box all around when I click on card)... but, when I go to work on one of the elements to change, of course the box disappears... how can I get a guide box to stay visible... or should I just drag out some guides (2 verticle 2 horizontal) for the initial card? I guess I am missing the old drop downs of Pagemaker where you could type in a form number from, say, Avery and get a Layout already setup and ready to be filled in... or is it in InDesign or the PlugIn and I just haven't found it? Thanks!

Re: Newbie Question: Biz Card Template Question
What template are you working with? Your description of disappearing boxes confuses. I see several text frames on a card template I just opened. Nothing seems grouped.

Re: Newbie Question: Biz Card Template Question
Thomas,
It sounds like you're trying to fly a plane with only a driver's license. I suggest you read the manual and get the Adobe InDesign CS Classroom in a Book <http://www.peachpit.com/title/0321193776> from Peachpit press. I think you might be either confusing some UI terminology or not understanding what you're doing or perhaps both. I don't mean this as an insult, merely an observation. I looked at the templates and I'm not seeing the problem you're having. Personally I'd stay away from the templates and just make your own but that's just me. I created a Business Card setting in my New Document dialog box and select this when I need to make a business card.
