Newbie: save file as
Hi, I am new to Director, but worked a lot in Flash before, so I get the
idea quite simple. But I do have a special problem I need to solve
urgently and I haven't found a solution yet checking my manuals. Sorry
if it is a siple question, I am really a beginner in Director:
I made a picture-browser with a lot of thumbnails which will be
published on a CD. Whe the user clicks the thumbnail a system
save-as-dialogue should appear and he should be able to save the
appropritate picture (from the CD) to a selected place on his HardDisk.
Of course this should work both for Mac and PC, if Possible linux too.
(Another possibility could be just to save the Picture on the desktop,
like a download (but without using a browser!!) Probably this is even
more difficult, for there are many different possibilities where the
desktop-folder is stored in different systems?)
Could someone please give me a hint how to do this?
Thanks a lot in advance and greetings from munich!

Re: Newbie: save file as
Mega thanks to the guy who made that extra. Have learnt a hell of a lot from it
to. will have to send a thankyou mail!
trying to figure how to get it to save a file to a desktop, rather than some
thing more direct like a folder in "C:\Program Files". All it needs is to do it
for windows to.
