news front page

Can anyone help me - im building a website for a friend and they want a home
page with some news on it pulled through from a database. I know how to do this
- the thing im stuck on which may be so simple - can i use index.asp as a home
page? Will it be recognised and pull it up when someone types in [url]www.xxx.com?[/url]

Maybe. It depends on your host's account defaults. Ask them.

Like Murray says it depends on your host.

You could try a few things. If index.asp doesn't work (I ass/u/me you've
tried already) try default.asp this is also a very popular start page for
server administrators. You could also try home.asp, although this isn't as
popular as index.asp & default.asp.

If those don't work Call the service provider.
