Nib: displaying a simple list fo strings - Mac Programming

Simple question (I think); which element is the best suited for displaying a list of strings in a window? The NSTableView? -- C Lund, www.notam02.no/~clund...

That would depend on what you want to do with these strings... ;)

What I want is simply to have a list strings associated with a list of
objects displayed in a window so I can click on one and then have the
data associated with that object displayed in another window.
Something like the playlist menu in iTunes. It displays the names of
the playlists and when you click on a playlist the next window shows
    the songs in that playlist.

After poking around a bit, it seems that the NSTableView is probably
    what I want.

BTW: I tried cancelling the article that started this thread.
Apparently my ISP *still* won't let me do that. Bp

Either that or an NSMatrix of text cells.
