Nikon 80-200/2.8 in Brisbane - Photography

Hi all, Just thought some of the Nikon folk might be interested in this: I was picking up some prints from Kayell in the city this morning, and just noticed they had what looked like a used Nikkor 80-200/2.8 going for just under $800. No idea about the condition, quality, or exact model (I can't follow Nikon alphabet soup), but if it's a good lens it's a good price on a f/2.8 telephoto zoom... I might have got the details wrong, as I was just briefly browsing around, but anyway... Cheers, Danny...

    I dunno, 70c each for a bunch of 5x7s and $4.00 for 8x12s isn't
exactly terrible! If I'd been printing 60 odd 5x7s and almost ten
8x12s from Kodak Online or something, I'd really be hurting.

Almost tried digilab, but needed these relatively quickly, and Kayell
was a known quantity. Plus I get to wander around and look at the
interesting gear they have sitting around!

    Cheers,

I don't doubt the 80-200 is sharp - I always resisted buying it though as I
knew the 70-200 was coming out.

I haven't bought the 28-70 for similar reasons, I'm not often in that focal
range and when I am I usually just use my 60mm lens.

I had the two touch for a while. I found that it was a little to much lens
for me. (i.e it mostly sat in the bag because of the huge weight)
