Nikon AF lenses---Are they AIS? - Photography

If a Nikon AF lens is used on an FA, N2000, or FG, will it work the same as an AIS lens and be able to function in shutter-preferred and full program modes? Of course, focused manually. Conversely, what auto capability does an AIS lens lose when used on an AF Nikon like an 8008s or a 6006? Can it be used in shutter-preferred and full program mode or not? Thanks. Ken...

Yes, as long as it's NOT a G series lens. Those won't do you any good with
    any of those cameras.

Yes, all AF lenses are also AI-S. Even the two AF lenses for the
    F3 AF.

No, it will only work in Aperture priority or manual mode.
    Also, Matrix metering won't work.
