Nikon NEF files - Photography

Norm, I always shoot in RAW Mode (aka NEF format) on the D100 The file size for this mode is approx. 9.8 Mb per shot so on a 500 Mb CF card, you'll get about 51 shots on it. In RAW mode I can virtually recover the most botched shot - this is very useful (esp. in candid portraiture work) as I simply dont have time to "setup" and reshoot - particularly when kids are involved. When it happens it happens and you need to be ready . . . RAW mode also lets me do really hoopy post-processing too ...

Hey Pete, my main passion is portraiture too and I really wanted to check
out an NEF of portrait to see what I can do to it with Nikon Capture. If
you wouldn't mind sending me one, that would be cool! I think my email
address normoblepias.com should have enough space :-)

Photo recovery is quite possible if you follow some precautions and get repair and recover your all deleted, corrupted and lost photos from your storage media using an advanced photo recovery software which supports various types of storage media.
