No Admin Rights Error Under OSX
Flash Player 8 does not install on my PowerBook G4.
After running the installer I get an "access denied" error message telling me
that I don't have the administrative privileges. Yet, I am the administrator
of this computer. There are no other users of the machine. I have tried
uninstalling Flash. I have tried restarting my computer. Neither has helped.
The Rosetta solution proposed elsewhere doesn't help as I don't have an Intel
book.
Can anyone help with this?

Then, run the Permission Repair utility..
Then download the standalone version of the OSX installer from the
"Trouble with Macintosh Installation" section of that same technote.
Run that and you should be good. Hopefully..

Bentley:
Thank you for your response. What is the "Pemission Repair Utility" that you refer to? Nothing akin to that appears to be on my computer.

Re: No Admin Rights Error Under OSX
Aha. I have found the Repair Permissions Utility (it's in Disk Utility, which perhaps was obvious to others). Thank you, Bentley, your solution worked perfectly.

I recently ran into the same problem and have taken the suggested steps prior
to this post. Yet I still get the samee error message. Is there another way
around this problem?
