no audio but video?

Ok, so I definitely not a programmer, nor an administrator, or an HTML?er but I
do understand a very minuscule amount about nothing... funny thing is that a
while back I could log onto just about anywhere and pull up video content and
stream it, or play it no worries, now however I can't hear anything, I have
audio on my music platforms, both iTunes & Windows Media Player, but it seems
anything that is Adobe/Micro Media/Flash will not play audio? I've
un-installed three different times, the last un-install/reinstall I even
completely shut down the computer for a half an hour, but still nothing? Why
can't Google Video play on my computer?

I just ran into the same problem... I have audio from all other sources with
absolutely no change. When I updated the flash player I lost all audio from
flash sources such as NBC.com tv shows and ebaumsworld.com vids. Please help
someone out!!!! it's frustrating and an inconvenience to not have audio along
with my video!

I had exactly the same problem with Flash 9. Many other users have reported this problem. I solved the problem by un-installing Flash 9 and re-installing Flash 7.

Well, I have the same problem and have been looking for a solution for a few
days now but nothing worked... :(
I'd be glad if anybody could send me some link for downloading an older flash
plug-in version, since I could only find links to the newest version.

Short problem description:
Flash Videos are played in my browser but without sound, still audio is played
using any other media player outside the browser, or listening to internet
radio which does not require flash. The *.FLV video files on my hardrive do not
play audio either (but video as normal)

Here's a short summary of what I tried so far:
- tested the flash player at the download center. It tells me everything's
fine, but the sound is just not working...
- tried Firefox and IE
- deleted and reinstalled the player
- checked the audio-settings in the OS system settings (tried to switch from
stereo-headphones to dolby etc... since this seemed to have helped somebody
else with this problem)
- checked the settings manager at the adobe site and changed the global
storage settings
- deleted & reinstalled browser and player
- reinstalled the audio hardware, browser & player
- reinstalled windows, etc...

Does anybody have any ideas anyways?

I'm using FireFox, but still suffering from the same problem in IEv6??
