Default No option to replace files (pdf, doc) of the same name

    Hi there,

I am the designer and administrator of a website using Contribute CS3 (4.1).
When I attempt to send a new version of a file up, I am prompted to either
replace the file, or give the file a new name.

The user is not prompted; the file is automatically renamed with the "_000",
etc. being added to the file name.

Anyone else run into this? Have a solution, I hope!? ;-)

    Thanks,
    Suzanne

Default Re: No option to replace files (pdf, doc) of the samename

    Please try to following.

    1) Administer the website.
    2) Select the role (Example Administrator).
    3) Click Edit Role Settings
    4) Select Folder/File Access.
    5) Check the option "Allow Users to delete files they have permission to edit"
    under File deletion.

Now try the scenario you have mentioned. Hope this helps you.
