No TWAIN sources in Photoshop 7.0.1

It was a strange thing but when I "installed" one of the MS XP updates I lost the TWAIN listings too. I tryed with no luck, to reinstall all of the image scanning software. That didn't do a thing for the TWAIN area. A couple of MS "updates" later, they reappeared. Done any OS updating lately?

Well, I do it all the time through their "Windows Upadte" Web interface. But in my case, as I said in my original message, other imaging software has no problems listing all TWAIN devices and working with them. It is only Photoshop that seems to be unable to enumerate TWAIN devices properly.

Andrey. I have the same problem since I upgraded to PS7. The twain from the original software that came with my scanner works fine. I loaded my SilverFast scanning software which appears on the acquire menu and nothing happens. It worked fine with PS6.1 I have had several people look at it but they cant't figure out why it won't work. I've sort of given up on it especially since customer support from the company that makes SilverFast just suggested upgrading which would cost more money and at this point in time the upgrade might not be compatible with my Windows 98SE
