Look in /etc/lp/printers/* directories; each printer that you want anyone
to be able to print to should have an empty users.deny file in its
directory (mine are lp:lp 664). If they're missing, running

    lpadmin -p printer -u allow:all

for each printer should take care of it.

First, run a pkgchk on the SUNWpcu and SUNWpcr packages.
If that doesn't turn up a permissions/suid problem on
    /usr/bin/lp or /var/spool/print, then you'll have to
post the error message that the non-root users are
getting when they use the lp command to print, and the
    output of these commands:

    lpget printer-name
    lpstat -v printer-name
    lpstat -lp printer-name

How about the other package I asked about, SUNWpcr?

Check and fix permissions for /dev/null. I think that you have root-only
    permissions for write.

Really? It didn't say that the size and checksum of /etc/printers.conf
    has changed? That's extremely unusual.

Run pkgchk on SUNWpsr and SUNWpsu also.
