noninteractive packag installation and a request file - Sun Solaris

Default noninteractive packag installation and a request file

I've noticed this on the SE toolkit (RICHPse), but the question is a
    general one about packages.

This package has a 'request' file, but it does nothing interactively.
It just checks the version of the OS and exits with a message or
    continues.

However, pkgadd refuses to install this package if it's running
    non-interactively.

    # pkgadd -n -d . RICHPse
    [...]
Interactive request script supplied by package
pkgadd: ERROR: request script did not complete successfully

Installation of <RICHPse> was suspended (interaction required).
No changes were made to the system.

Anyone have any techniques to install this automatically without
    modifying the package?

Darren, very slightly laterally (and can't say that it would work every
time, but I did test on RICHPse):

    pkgadd -n -r /dev/null -d . RICHPse

Hmm.. yes.. I suppose that'll work with anything that doesn't ask
questions, and if it does ask questions I'd need to modify the package
to get it to install anyway (short of being able to supply individual
    responses for each package).
