I HAVE THE SAME problems as Liz and I have tried all the things suggested above. However, instead of getting to 80% of completing a pdf file Adobe only gets to 10% before hanging and saying "Word has insufficient memory. You will not be able to undo this action once it is completed. Do you want to continue?"

I am currently running Windows and Office XP and version 5 of Adobe Acrobat.

If you are not using Acrobat 5.0.5 then update.

Also, how much RAM do you have?

Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you but I've been a bit busy with other urgent matters. My answers are:

    I use Version 5.0.5 26/10/2001

I also have 512 MB of RAM
