not enough memory error - Adobe Illustrator Windows

I am getting this error; "There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object" working in CS 3.2 GHZ with 2 Gigs of ram. Definately plenty of memory and speed, so why this error?...

    Mike,

    That can happen if you have your plugins folder set to anything other than
    default plugin folder

    Hello Mike, just wondering if you were able to resolve this problem? I am using XP and getting the same error. Thanks!

    Brandon,

    Although you wil be asked for a CC Number, that doesn't mean that you will be charged anything.

    The way it works is basically this; if your question could be answered by reading the manual/help files, you will be charged, otherwise you won't be.

    Try trashing your AIPrefs file. If that doesn't help, make sure you've installed the Photoshop filters that come with the complete install.

    Mike,

    I was getting the same out-of-memory error message. The second link in Illustrator FAQ has a link to Adobe Knowledgebase Doent #320318, which gives instructions for increasing the limit of your Windows Page size. Increasing the Page max solved the problem for me.

    I went to Illustrator FAQ, then Adobe Knowledgebase Doent #320318, but I do not see any instuctions for increasing the limit of your Windows Page size.

    Did I over look it?

    Mike,

    Right Click on 'My Computer' and select Properties>Advanced>Performance
    Options>Virtual memory -> Change
