not enough memory error

    Default not enough memory error

    I am getting this error; "There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object"

    working in CS
    3.2 GHZ with 2 Gigs of ram.

    Definately plenty of memory and speed, so why this error?

    Mike,

    That can happen if you have your plugins folder set to anything other than
    default plugin folder

    I tried calling this issue in and i cant do anything until i give them my credit card. wtf is that. i buy a $1000 program and they wont even get it running correctly.

    Brandon,

    Although you wil be asked for a CC Number, that doesn't mean that you will be charged anything.

    The way it works is basically this; if your question could be answered by reading the manual/help files, you will be charged, otherwise you won't be.

    Try trashing your AIPrefs file. If that doesn't help, make sure you've installed the Photoshop filters that come with the complete install.

    Mike,

    I was getting the same out-of-memory error message. The second link in Illustrator FAQ has a link to Adobe Knowledgebase Document #320318, which gives instructions for increasing the limit of your Windows Page size. Increasing the Page max solved the problem for me.
