Not enough memory to preview
When I open some files in Illustrator CS I get the message "Not enough memory to preview document" and it opens in outline mode. If I convert all fonts to outline it can preview. Has anybody see this problem? Any advice?
I should mention that I'm using Illustrator CS on a Dual 2 GHz G5 with 2 Gb of ram.
Thanks,
-P.

Re: Not enough memory to preview
I don't have CS, and I don't use OSX, but I have read that RAM is dynamically allocated in OSX. I suppose it is possible that if you had a bunch of really big Photoshop files open, it could suck up the RAM that Illustrator is wanting to use, but with just Illustrator open, you shouldn't get memory issues (or so it seems). Do you have lots of placed images in the Illustrator file? Since outlining fonts seems to help, do you have a bazillion fonts activated? I don't know if that makes a difference in OSX or not, but it's worth looking into.

Re: Not enough memory to preview
I've heard that the "not enough memory" error can be caused by corrupted fonts. Try switching the fonts in the file to a different font.
