Notes and Highlights, please provide suggestions
I asked this question before but realize I did not ask it clearly.
I do research and read many large documents. I want to make notes that I can later print out to review and go back to relevant sections of the docuemnt. I also highlight certain sections.
Acrobat 6.0 treats highlights and notes both as comments. If I want to generate a comment summary I can just show the notes. However, when I want to print that summary, I can only pring the notes AND highlights. There is no way that I can just print the notes.
The comment summary is printed in a manner where it corresponds to the relevant pages in the document. In other words, if there is one comment on page 5, the print summary will show one comment related to page 5 and leaves the rest of the page blank. I cannot print a page where the comments are listed continuously, i.e. without starting a new page every time. This caused me to have to print 70 pages, most of which were only partly filled. I cannot export to Word and manipulate it there as I do not have the Word XP verion.
If anyone can suggest how to (1) just print notes (and not highlights) and (2) how to print continuously, I would really appreciate it. So far, I think it is a flaw in the software.
Thanks and regards

Re: Notes and Highlights, please provide suggestions
If you just want to print notes, in the File > Print with Comments dialog, change the "Include:" option to "only the comments currently showing." What this will do is only print the comments where the pop-up window is actually open (such as what you get when you double-click a highlight). You'll need to make sure any notes you've added via the Note tool (the post-it note tool) are actually open first.
There doesn't seem to be a way to prevent Acrobat from adding a page break before each page of comments. Sounds like a good feature request, though. :) <http://www.adobe.com/support/feature.html>
