NS4.7 - Why?
I've seen alot of posts with people having problems doing pages for NS
4.7
Can anyone tell me why people are still using 4.7 when Version 7.1 is
out???
I have both IE6 & NS 7.1 on my machine to test the look of the pages -
Do I need to get 4.7 or is it just not really used anymore to worry
about ?
Thanks for any help.

Re: NS4.7 - Why?
NS 4.7 was the last version of NS which came with the calendar application.
Many large organisations (eg my/Australia's biggest University) licensed the
expensive ns calendar server and won't update until they have to (expensive
process) - so it's employees are stuck with NS4.7 for their
calendars/resource booking systems and use the browser for convenient
integration.....
A damn nuisance none-the-less....
There may be other reasons as well....

can't force my users to upgrade, and will not include any nagging
comments on my site asking them to.
In practice, few users of my clients' sites are using NN4.7, so I tend
to ignore them. However, one other poster has found that a very
significant percentage of his clients users use NN4.7, so he has to
design with them in mind. You need to do some research. Get your ISP
to send you stats on your site.
