Null > '' - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

In terms of database size, does a million records of NULL are more then million records of '' (empty string). Just wondering :-)...

If NULL's is allowed SQL Server keeps a special bitmap in every row to
indicate which nullable columns are NULL.
Rows with empty string is actually some columns that defined as char(...) or
    varchar(...)
I think that million records with NULL's are more complexity to the storage.

If you store the NULLs or empty strings in a varchar datatype, then the
same amount of disk space is used (1 bit for the NULL bitmap, and 2
bytes for the varchar length indicator). It is a different story if you
use char datatype (1 bit for the NULL bitmap, and the number of bytes as
    defined by the char datatype).
