Default Objects Created Using "Unite" Action Crash Program When Trying to Delete

I'm running Illustrator 10.0.3 on a Mac running OS 10.3.3. When trying to delete an object that I created using the "Unite" action, the program crashes. Check it out and let me know if it's just me..., draw 3 shapes; select them all, then click play on the "Unite" action; now select and try to delete the newly formed object. Did it work for you? Can anyone suggest what might be going on? Thanks.

Hi..., me again. This seems to be limited to one specific object I have created. I just tried making 3 new objects and going through the steps explained above, and it worked fine. I guess it IS just me!?
