Odd things happening when I use the tab function - Adobe Indesign Windows

Am new-ish to InDesign and am using version 2.0. Am trying to format an Annual Report but every time I try to set tabs, I have random zeros appearing in the areas I have tabbed over. e.g. - when using Justify right tabs   at 0000000000000000 at >000000000000000000000000000 0.01 0000000000000 0.01 Has anyone else ever experienced this as its driving me bananas and am tempted to start again in Quark Xpress. Hopefully its a simple fix! Cheers...

They don't look random to me. They look like tab leaders. Check the tab leader box in the tab palette for those particular tabs.
