OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments
I recently had my Hard drive replaced and lost everything
on the old one, so within the last few days I have put
back all of my old programs including the XP upgrade from
ME. IN my Outlook Express many of my e-mails that are to
contain attachments are being stopped my Outlook
Express. It shows that the mail has an attachment, but
where the paper clip usually is on the e-mail, it
says "OE removed access to the following unsafe
attachments in you mail:" followed by the name of the
attachment. The paper clip is still there, however, it
will not let me open it at all. OE never did this before
I had the drive replaced so I know I must be doing
something wrong. Can anyone please assist me in either
finding out why its doing this, or, how to stop it from
doing this alltogether? THanks so much in advance.
Please e-mail me the answer since I rarely check this
group. Havickman@aol.com

Hi. Open Outlook Express; go to 'tools'(drop-
down), 'options', 'security' tab and uncheck "Do not
allow attachments to be saved or opened that could be a
virus." Your anti-virus program for your computer takes
care of all that anyway.
