I didn't have any issues here installing SP2 for Office 2003 here on Vista
5308. I am not sure, but someone reported that issues relating to Office not
installing Vista could be a corrupt NTFS file system. You also try running
the executable for SP2 as an Administrator, right click it, click "Run as
Administrator".

Well, putting all your bets on Windows Update in Windows Vista, would
probably not be a good idea, I suggest going to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and search for Office 2003 SP2, download
and install.
