Default Old controls?

While trying to fix a site someone else built we had a page with "play" and
"stop" controls. We did not intentionally "alter" the page but somehow the
controls to the audio clip files disappeared. I looked at the code when
clicking on the .swf icon in DW and I noticed that it was looking to download
from the old Macromedia site. Could this explain the loss of the controllers
and is there a way to get controllers to control embedded files. I'm a motion
graphics guy in over my head so all help welcome.

No, the "download" reference from the Macromedia site has nothing to do with your controls or audio and whether or not they show up.

It might be better to ask your question in one of the Flash forums:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/index.cfm?forumid=15
or in the Dreamweaver general forum:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/categories.cfm?forumid=12&catid=189&entercat=y

You will need to post a link to your page, as it at the very least has to do with the code on your page, but it possibly might be with your SWF file(s) too, and as such, you may need to supply the source .fla file(s) that your movie depends on.

Some of the video skins only show the controls when you move the mouse
over the player, and hide them otherwise. Could you have inadvertently
changed the skin?
