Older Interakt Extensions with DW CS3
I'm considering upgrading from DW 8 to DW CS3 but I don't see extra value in
ADDT - very expensive.
We already own the latest vesions of Impakt 3, MX CSS Menus and MX Widgets
Suite.
Will these three Interakt extensions work just as well on DW CS3 or not?
I tried loading DW CS3 but didn't think to try it with these extensions before
the 30 day expiration.
Anyone have any actual experience?

Older Interakt extensions will not work with CS3. You'll just get a message
that this version doesn't work with the product. Only ADDT works with CS3.

Well that's just dandy. So everything I've done with my MX Kollection will
need to be redone IF I were to upgrade?
Also Adobe has had the ADDT out for sale for quite a while now and still no
email to alot of us InterAkt owners for any type of upgrade discount.

Not from what I've been reading. I think it's best to stick with Studio 8.

Re: Older Interakt Extensions with DW CS3
Well all that's a big turnoff.
I have emailed Interakt via their website twice and to an Interakt staffer
once to find upgrade paths for my Interakt products but I get no response -
deathly silence.
This is not just bad for me, it's bad for Adobe as well.
We won't be updating to DW CS3. That's a shame as these silly 'lock out'
decisions by Adobe to recover the cost of purchasing Interakt, are just driving
us closer to Visual Studio 2005 with Ajax and .Net development in lieu of
ColdFusion development - it also means we won't upgrade ColdFusion to CF8.
We started with Drumbeat all those years ago and purchased and worked with
every upgrade through UltraDev and then Dreamweaver - it will be the end of an
era.

Adobe purchased Interakt last year. That's why you're getting the silent treatment.

Re: Older Interakt Extensions with DW CS3
I feel exactly the same way....this is my first post on Adobe....and let me
tell you it is not a happy one....I purchased Studio 8 and then the MX 3
Kollection (complete bundle) and then come to find that Adobe and InterAct both
don't want to know owners of prior purchases. I have contacted both and no
response for upgrades. I have spent lots of money to find out Adobe just wants
more money to make "any" thing work. It just cost me to upgrade to DreamWeaver
CS3 and now I find I can't even use my version of MX 3...cause now I have to
pay for the ToolBox......WOW when is this going to end and finally have a
stable product?????
