John, you could use your Camedia software to download the images from your
camera to a folder on your hard drive. Once that's accomplished, you can
fire up Elements and do a File>Open and point at the images in that download
folder. Two steps, but very efficient; you can download all your images in
a bunch, then see them all in the Elements browser and open up the ones you
want to edit.
