Olympus D400 software - Photography

Hey there. Does anyone have software for the Olympus D400 digital camera? My friend has inherited one, and we are having trouble downloading images from the camera to the computer. I can't seem to find the software for it anywhere... If you have it, and are willing to let me copy it, I would be oh so happy. You can email me at com Thanks, Scott...

    In article <google.com>,
    com says...

Tell your friend to go to the local office supply store and get a USB
Smartmedia card reader. It will appear as another drive and you can drag
and drop the image files from it. You don't need the software that comes
with the camera -- it s.

com (Sculi2000) staggered into the Bada Bing and slurred:

You may be able to download the software from the Olympus web site
    www.olympus.com

or do a search on www.google.com for
    Olympus D400 software download

Sometimes you'll find obscure abandoned web sites with old software
    downloads.

If you're really desperate you can try the file sharing programs like
    www.kazaa.com and www.morpheus.com

Also, some other Olympus camera software may work; you may not necessarily
need software specifically for the D400.

You may not even need software at all. If you have Windows XP, your
computer might recognize the camera and download images from it if you plug
it in to a USB port. If it has a serial port interface you can try a serial
to USB converter although I think those are expensive.

Try Came, available for free from
<http://www.ba.wakwak.com/~tsuruzoh/index-e.html>. It is a very good
downloading program -- I like it much more than Olympus' own software.
