On mouseEnter, bring my sprite to the front - help! - Macromedia Director Lingo

Hello I have some mouseovers that all sit on top of each other. I need to be able mouseEnter one of them and bring it to the front (so that it "sits on top" of the others). Then, when the mouse leaves, it needs to return to it's original position. right now, I'm using a swap image command to take care of it: ------------ property oldmem on mouseEnter me oldmem = sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum = oldmem + 26 end on mouseLeave me oldmem = sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum = oldmem - 26 end ------------ This works for the swap, but it leaves out ...

    Default On mouseEnter, bring my sprite to the front - help!

    Hello

    I have some mouseovers that all sit on top of each other. I need to be able mouseEnter one of them and bring it to the front (so that it "sits on top" of the others). Then, when the mouse leaves, it needs to return to it's original position.

    right now, I'm using a swap image command to take care of it:

    ------------

    property oldmem

    on mouseEnter me
    oldmem = sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum
    sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum = oldmem + 26
    end

    on mouseLeave me
    oldmem = sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum
    sprite(me.spriteNum).memberNum = oldmem - 26
    end

    ------------

    This works for the swap, but it leaves out the part about bringing the mouseEnter sprite to the front. I don't even know where to begin on that part!

    Any input is appreciated!

    (Thanks)

    You guys have all been soooo helpful! I'm trying to post as much to help as I am being helped.

    sprite(x).locZ is what you're looking for. You can set it to any number you
    wish on mouseEnter, then set it back to the original channel on mouseLeave.

    property spriteNum
    on mouseEnter me
    sprite(spriteNum).locZ = 100
    end

    on mouseLeave me
    sprite(spriteNum).locZ = spriteNum
    end
