One or more shockwave files missing...

Shockwave has stopped working on my computer. I can't seem to find it in my
program files or from the control panel program list. when I go to the download
page on this site a box appears saying

"One or more Shockwave files are missing. Would you like to got to the Adobe
site to repair them?"

When I click yes I remain on the same page but nothing happens. The only thing
I remember doing recently was changing some things when I went to "Turn
Windows features on or off" in the Programs and features option in Control
Panel. Problem is I can't remember what I did and don't have the 'know how' to
understand if that caused the problem in the first place.

I'm using IE with Vista Home Basic. This has really affected my internet
experience as Shockwave is integral to many things I do on the internet so any
help would really be appreciated.

Try running the uninstaller and then install it again. Links at:

Hi,

Thanks for replying Sean. I have wanted to try that but Shockwave is not in my
list of programs in Control Panel. Flash Player, Reader and Photoshop are but
not Shockwave. However some files must still be on my computer if its been
detected at the download page. Any idea how I might be able to remove it
completely when I can't uninstall it the usual way?

There is an uninstaller at
<http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp>
While you're there, you might as well grab the full installer and run it
after you've run the uninstaller

Hello, Im having the same proplems too with shockwave player but it still doesnt seem to be working when i try it, Is there anyother way i can maby get it to work ?
