ontape -r problem

Hi,

I am using informix 7.31 on AIX version 402.
I try to do a restore of my data. but the ontape -r
keeps giving me error messages.
I have attached the output for suggesstions.

Hi

Try increasing the number of connections in your NETTYPE paramaeter in
ONCONFIG file, and see if that helps. If your AIX is using a shared memory
connection (ipcshm), try using a network connection (soctcp). But in either
case, increase the number of connections to see if it makes a difference.

I would also check your O/S logs and users limits. I have seen this error
(in a different context) where the user has reached a limit in the number of
processes he is allowed to run on the box.

Keith,

Well, the user limits has not been reached yet. The
main server is working perfectly with a similar
configuration parameters.
I changed an entry in the sqlhosts file which seemed
to work. But now the system is complaining of not
being able to do a physical restore on the rootdbs
space.
Any help?
