    Default Opening PDF's

    Hi

I'm looking into a comparison between Flash and Director to develop a cross platform CD project that will also allow users to open external PDF files in Reader (ideally not using internet Explorer, but will consider this method if left with no other options).

Currently we use Flash .exe files on PC to open the PDF via a third party utility which opens the PDF by finding the parent application. This method isn't cross platform and I need to decide on whether Director will be the best application for the Job.

Does anyone have any experience or advice on how best to decide on the application to go with ?

Will I need to produce OS9 and OSX versions, is this possible through the latest release of Director ?

    Thanks in Advance...

    Hello KD53 ;)

If Acrobat Reader was NOT installed, but COPIED to your workstation,
there are missing registry entries that will provoke such an error.

The solution is to install Reader.
Of course, there might be additional reasons for this error [although the
above suggestion covers 95% of the cases] and if you are still experiancing
complications, just fire off an E-mail to us at our support address, as we
still supply !FREE! support, even for non-registered users!
