opening pdf's in Acrobat Reader / IE locks up PC
Hi all
My WIN XP PC has just started misbehaving when opening pdf's over the
web from Internet Explorer.
I click on the link to the webpage, the Acrobat splash screen appears
...... and then nothing happens.........
If I check Task Manager, Internet Explorer is taking up 90% of the CPU
time.
If I kill Internet Explorer then AcroRd32 takes up 85 - 90% of the CPU
time.
If I kill AcroRd32 then I can use the PC again......
I have uninstalled Acrobaat Reader, and reinstalled it (currently
Version 6.0.1 03/11/2003).
IE is at 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Latest WinXP updates have just been installed (could be
significant.....?)
PC is 1.7gig celeron with 284mb ram
Any suggestions gratefully received.....
Thanks
Adrian
