Options in Print Menu not consistent
When trying to print from the print menu, the options aren't consistent and even quitting the program and
retrying the same file doesn't "fix" the fact that I'm unable to print separations from my MX file.
The options after choosing my printer and FHMX are (1) convert text (2) Advance buttton (3) Scale.
If I choose "Advance", I then get a "picture" of my layout/orientation and can only choose "OK".
This problem isn't consistent and by quitting FH and restarting my G4 doesn't always "fix" the problem.
I've retried the same file once I've restarted the computer and the familiar menu appears...
anyone else having this occurence?
Please help.

Re: Options in Print Menu not consistent
Are you running Mac OS X? I've seen this inability to bring up the FHMX
Separations, Imaging and Paper Setup tabs when a previous print job had been
sent to a non-Postscript printer.
One thing you could try is to go to open Print Center > Printer List, select
the target printer and make it the Default.
Sometimes I've been able to get the FHMX Print Setup tabs to display if,
while still in the Print dialog, I check the 'Separations' button along with
Advanced, even if I intend to print a composite. This forces the Advanced
tabs in the FHMX Print Setup to display.

Sorry... yes, I am on OS X.
I'll try your suggestion and appreciate the help.

Re: Options in Print Menu not consistent
I have also seen a wacky thing happen after printing to PDF. It would cause the PostScript options to disappear, or in other words look like a non-PostScript printer.
I found that if I did a print Preview and then went right back into the print dialog I would then have the PostScript option restored.
Give that a try and see what happens.

the Distiller print driver. FHMX prints in color even when B&W is selected
in the driver.
