    Default oracle on mainframe

    We are upgrading our cf server to mx 7 and oarcle 7 to oracle 9i. our unix admin wants to install oracle on mainframe. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of that.

    First thing I would suggest is ask this question in an Oracle forum, not a CF
    one.

    Second thing I would suggest is when you do that, make sure to include Oracle
    version (9i is a brand name, not a version) and OS. Folks over there don't
    respond well to questions with incomplete info.

    I'll just add one thing to what jobwrob said:

    If you don't know, but you're trying to tell the Unix admin what to do, that's
    not good. It's the Unix admin's job to administrate the server, so let him do
    what he's good at. Each of you can stick to your core competency, and
    everyone's happy.
