Organizer error resurfaces
I followed the posts on fixing the "Could not load Organizer Database" issue: Using Terminal to create a folder in the Shared Users folder, make the folder read/write, create a link to that file in each user's account.
This fix worked for a short time. Then the errors started reappearing. Is adobe's self-heal crap "fixing" my work-around? Any other guesses? Anything I can do to stop the madness?
These bugs are making me crazy. I've spent the last 6 months limping along with 7.07 and 7.08, without ever finding permanent fixes to this (and other) issues. Now I'm supposed to get excited about 8.0?

Re: Organizer error resurfaces
Walter,
Did you try to fix permissions? Perhaps something is meessing with the
Shared Users folder permissions.

Re: Organizer error resurfaces
I verified that the permissions are correct for the Shared Users folder.
I have constant permissions issues, but these seem to be correct. I have had to assign read/write permissions to all users for virtually every file associated with every program they use -- The app itself, the contents folder within the app, the pref files on the local machine, the prefs files in the admin folder, the color settings folder, etc. (OSX really screwed up its permissions handling.)
Is there a permissions issue I'm missing with making Acrobat work smoothly?
By the way, my users are using Acrobat 7.0.8 with PitStop 7.0.1 on Dual 2.0 G5s. Users have network-based logins on a PC server.
