OS 10.3.9 and 10.4.x + PDFMaker Acrobat 6.x = Trouble
Hi all,
I've seen several posts on problems with the PDFMaker in Micorosft Office. I'm having quite a problem too.
1.) Had no problems until I did a clean install of 10.3.9 from 10.3.8. When I reinstalled the PDFMaker wouldn't work. Kept getting the message "Can't find print center" Managed to fix that manually by instlling the Adobe Acrobat Printer. But then got a new error and gave up, although I did get a little further.
2.) With 10.4.0 I'm having exactly the same problems.
I have a relatively new Mac and I get believe that other people arent having the same problems. I have spent hours trying to play and get the problem fixed... I have some ideas but must find another person with a working copy of Acrobat to copy some files out of... Does this person exist?
Cheers,
JP

JP,
Have you re-installed Acrobat 6 from the CD? I have a working copy of
Acrobat 6 that runs with 10.4.2 with no problem. It also worked with
10.3.9 with no problem at all.

Re: OS 10.3.9 and 10.4.x + PDFMaker Acrobat 6.x = Trouble
Hi Mike,
Yes, I even paid for the CD. :-)
But seriously, I have a friend with a similar set up, and I'm going to try exchanging several files with him.
The problem I'm having now, is that PDF Maker is just hanging in the very last step of the process...
Thanks for the input!

JP,
Have you checked for directory damage and made sure you have fixed
permissions.
