OS 9/X Server Question Client - Mac Applications & Software

We just set up a new faster better G4 with OSX Server on it. Previously we had an older G4 running OS9 Server. The problem is with the clients(Running OS9) that log on to the servers. With both up and running on the same network, there is no problem. We need to take one server down(the OS9 one). We have tried doing this, but when we do, the clients still search for it, giving the appearance of a system lockup on the clients for somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes.     Default OS 9/X Server Question Client

    Yes..

    go to every individual mac and repeat the following:

    Systemsfolde then the Servers folder

    Remove all those nice aliasses in the server - folder

    Problem solved

    As Far as I recall when you restart the machines it should allow you to
    select which server you want (or put in the IP address)
