OS (Solaris 8) is losing route to 127.0.0.1
Hi everybody,
I have a U60 here that is running Solaris 8 (108528-17). It is being
used for dns, dhcp, rwhois, and ntp. Once in a while that machine loses
its route table entry for 127.0.0.1 and all connectivity to localhost is
gone, obviously. I have been trying to figure out what's triggering this
behavior but have been unsuccessful. I was always able to just unplumb
and plumb the lo0 interface to get this fixed (I assume a netstat add
-host would do, too).
Did anybody else out there experience the same problem?
Any hint or pointer is appreciated.
Thanks.
- Michael
PS: SunSolve did not uncover anything useful and my next step would be
getting a more recent patch cluster on that box.
