OSR507 MP1 on Proliant (pci-debug conflict) - SCO

Back in September there was discussion of the clash between /etc/conf/pack.d/pci/Driver.o and a Driver.o supplied with the HP (Compaq) Extended Feature Supplement (EFS) 5.48a for the HP Proliant range of servers. I have a Proliant with 507 + patched Driver.o + EFS. I'm now wanting to apply MP1 (just for completeness prior to SCOx devkit install). 1) I know I need to remove OSS656B. Do I need to remove EFS before applying MP1? 2) If I remove EFS before applying MP1, do I need to repatch Driver.o before reapplying EFS? Thanks for any clues....

    Thanks for any clues.

I don't know anything about install order issues with the HP(Compaq)
EFS. Someone else will have to answer about that. Once that's
resolved, the question about repatching your Driver.o is self-resolving.
Once you've removed anything that needs to be removed, installed
everything in the right order, then either your kernel will link or it
won't. If it fails due to the same symbol clash ("pci_debug"), apply
the same "pci_debug" patch as before.

The general rule from HP is to remove the EFS ( if you are running the
Compaq Management Agents - CMA - they are removed before removing the EFS )
first, add any required patches, and reapply the EFS. If the patch updates
/etc/conf/pack.d/pci/Driver.o you will need to run Bela's script to change
    the symbol pci_debug.

Make note of the IP settings, the NIC driver and setup will be lost when
    you remove the EFS.

    Thanks Mike, Bela

I'll remove EFS, apply MP1, fix Driver.o, then reapply EFS and configure
    the NIC.
