Default OT: any xerox phaser techies in the group?

Some smart guys came into the office and moved some furniture around.
Without asking they also moved our phaser without powering it down and wax
spill out of it onto the carpet. Needless to say, there is wax spilled
inside the unit as well and it will not print anymore due to paperjams.

    Tech support is
$290 for the first 30 mins and $55 each 15 mins after.

I'm just wondering if it might be possible for me to be able to do the
    cleanup myself
I know what I'm askin is a REAL long shot but you never know sometimes.

    Thanks in advance. :o)

Maybe a heat gun and a lot of paper towels? You can start with a hair dryer if you don't have a heat gun. Careful, they could get hot enough to melt plastic. And take it as much apart as you feel comfortable. Have an intern do it if possible, remember you cost your company time, also. Otherwise, get it to a point where tech support won't cost so much (IOW, take so long).

Thanks for the advice Jonathan, I figured as much. I think I'll someone try the blow dryer and see if that gets us anywhere. Like you said though, I don't want to spend very much time on it.

lol, ID, I wish I could make them pay in more ways then one :P
