Resized from 1600x1200, a single "sharpen" (to compensate for the blurring
of downsampling), and altered Levels (manually) very slightly. I always
worry about both sharpening and altering levels, because the results always
look so different on CRT and LCD screens and I never know which to optimize
for... for this reason, I try to keep such alterations to a minimum and
leave it as natural as possible.

Nice pics Mark. Something I picked up a good while ago was the need in
photographs to have a straight horizon on images that have one. A slight
rotation of the image is all it takes to straighten up, and make for an even
    better shot.

    Good stuff though.

    :

    It's a monster Rich. A Kodak DCS 520. It's basically a Canon EOS 1 with a
Kodak digi back on it. It was one of the first generation 'pro' digi
camera's. I bought it second hand last year. It's a bit long in the tooth
now but stil a great peice of kit and it keeps me fit... it weighs a ton!

The main reason for me choosing it was that it accepted all my lenses.

Didn't cost me 'that' much Rich. At least not considering the original price
    was around £14,000.

I had built up a small collection of lenses over a period of five years,
    that's the expensive bit.
If you don't have the lenses there's not much point but if you do, I
recommend a trip to your nearest pro photographer shop. Preferably one that
does good sports photography. I wouldn't mind betting they have a DCS 520
kicking around in the back somewhere that they wouldn't mind parting with
for the price of a new all singing all dancing multi megapixel job.

Don't expect to be able to slip it into your shirt pocket though. (:o)

    Thanks Peter,
The mountain pics were taken at my "old" place of work,
from the 8th floor of an office building in downtown Portland,
and one from the roof, and one from Oregon City.
    Sure come on over Peter...lol

Craig, yeah it's Mt. Hood! I believe it is a "dormant" volcano, but so was
St. Helen's, and we know what happened there!
