Default OT:How would you create an icon file from Fireworks

Once you have created a small image in Fireworks, how would you export
or convert it into a format that you could use in windows for property icon.

For example -- if I had a shortcut on my desktop and wanted to draw my
own icon in Fireworks how do I then convert it so I can specify it as my
    icon of choice?

    Thanks

Basically you just need something that will convert/read from one of FWs
export file types to an .ICO file.

    Hope that help.

You could create the image in FW, and export/save it 32x32 in a common format (GIF perhaps). Use the aforementioned Irfanview to open it and save as an .ico file. Irfanview(.com) is a great little free slideshow/graphic viewer that I have been using for over 3 years now.

    Hope this helps.
