Seems it will be a large step above Access despite some similar limitations
(4GB max database size, for example), and probably quite good for most
data-driven websites. And free is a lot cheaper than a full version of SQL
Server.

Perhaps a better analogy would be to compare it to MSDE, not to Access. But
yes, it is going to better than Access.
