OT - USB drive autostart? - Macromedia Director Lingo

Hi! I'm developing a presentation which will be distributed on give-away USB drives (Sony Micro Vault USB). The ideal would be if the projector launches when the drive is inserted in the USB port, like a CD-rom autostart.inf, but this seems tricky... WinXP won't run autorun.inf from removable media. Hints, anyone? /magnaX...

    Hi!

If Windows won't run an autorun.inf file from a pen drive, that's a
good thing. I don't really want anyone walking by to be able to plug a
pen drive into my computer and execute anything.

Another stumbling block that you may run into: Most USB devices need to
have a driver installed before they will be recognised correctly on
Windows. On a Mac this is a different story, it just works.

What's the data transfer speed on those things? Is it actually fast
enough to play a Director file?

Neither do I, but customer is king. I can only advice against it. And
this time it looks like the client will hav to obey me :)

Works fine without driver on 2000 and XP. Haven't tried on 98 yet, but
from what I've read, that one will require a driver.

Yep, works fine. I'm not sure, but I think the smaller memory, the
faster data transfer (this particular one is 64 mb).
